INTRODUCTION
Africa’s pharmaceutical and biotech sectors are evolving rapidly, driven by local innovation, growing regulatory frameworks, and a strong need for manufacturing sovereignty. In this context, international collaboration plays a key role in shaping a sustainable and future-ready industry.
It is within this ambition that A3P Association and basan – The Cleanroom Technology have come together to support the continent’s momentum, combining global expertise with local knowledge. Their joint initiative begins with a dedicated South Africa 2025 Congress, to be held in Johannesburg on 11–12 November 2025.
This collaboration reflects a shared vision:
• to foster academic and regulatory alignment,
• to offer a platform for practical, real-world cleanroom and pharmaceutical applications,
• and to strengthen connections between Africa’s pharma ecosystem and international networks.
Rooted in South Africa and open to the world, this initiative aims to support the long-term growth of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Africa — through knowledge exchange, networking, and innovation.
